  A wonderful stay and tasty food  - Due to the storm Darragh we have lost power in our house back in the first week of December, 2024. It was very cold outside and we had no way... read more to get our heating system going, so on the second day without power, we have decided to leave and look for shelter away from the cold. We have tried Customs house Inn and were delighted with all the support and care we have received. We did not have power for 4 days and 3 nights and 2 of these nights we have spent at the property. Wonderful room, very clean with that luxury feel and spacious clean bathroom with plenty of towels and a huge mirror (room 9). The best part of our stay was the staff, everyone was very helpful, Sarah looked after our room and helped my daughter get early breakfast before school and Louis made sure my daughters had their lunchboxes ready and his breakfast was lovely. I would also like to take this opportunity and thank Customs house management for keeping the hotel open on Monday and Tuesday, just so we could stay as usually property is closed. Food was excellent too, we had Carvery lunch on Sunday and restaurant dinner on Monday, excellent vegan and vegetarian options. As a small business owner myself I am proud to have such welcoming neighbours, it is wonderful to know that just a few minutes away we can get excellent food and stay. Thank you for going above and beyond for us and we wish you the very best in 2025 as we will be back but this time to enjoy the room, the food, relax and forget about our everyday struggles as this is what this hotel is for, Jeff and Viktorija.
